 Mike Mounir
Interventional Cardiologist
Dr.
Mike Mounir is a cardiologist at Cardiovascular Institute of the South at
Lafayette General. Dr. Mounir
began his studies at Damascus University in Syria and received his doctorate
with honors in 1971 from the Damascus School of Medicine.
Dr.
Mounir completed his internship at St. Raphael Hospital on Yale University’s
campus in Connecticut. He earned
his residency in internal medicine at William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan and
completed his fellowship in cardiology at Baylor College of Medicine in
Houston, Texas. He has served as a
cardiologist in Lafayette for more than 35 years.
Dr. Mounir is board certified
in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and is
a member of the Lafayette Parish Medical Society.
