Dr. Christopher Daniels is a cardiologist at Cardiovascular Institute of the South at Lafayette General. Dr. Daniels began his medical studies at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he received a Bachelor of Science in 1999. He then completed his Doctorate of Medicine at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee in 2004.
He completed his residency at Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia, and he completed his fellowship at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans.
Dr. Daniels is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology and interventional cardiology. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Medical Association, National Medical Association, Association of Black Cardiologists, American College of Cardiology, and Louisiana State Medical Society. He was also named Chief Cardiology Fellow at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center for 2009-2010.
