The "Advanced Cardiovascular CT Scanning
for the Technologist Program" is a five day
event that will involve one half day of lecture
and four and a half days of cardiac and
cardiovascular CT scanning.
The program is for experienced CT Technologists requiring advanced skills in cardiovascular protocols, scanning, and image manipulation using a 3-D workstation.
In a typical day, the technologist will participate in the performance of 15-20 cardiovascular procedures, including approximately three coronary CTA exams. The technologist will also participate in post-processing of the exams using a 3-D workstation.
Upon completion, the technologist will have knowledge of proven techniques and protocols for successful cardiovascular CT scanning. Additionally, the technologists will leave with electronic copies of many valuable forms such as: Coronary CTA worksheets, referral forms, patient education and instruction forms, sample super bill, etc.
This program is approved for 4 Category A Continuing Education Units by the ASRT.
