Denise Broussard, RN Director of Nursing
Denise Broussard, RN, serves as director of nursing for Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS). A native of New Iberia, Louisiana, she received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Louisiana State University in Eunice, Louisiana and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northwestern State University in Alexandria, Louisiana. Prior to her current position, Mrs. Broussard was a registered nurse at CIS for over nine years.
Prior to joining CIS, Mrs. Broussard was employed as a registered nurse for AAA Home Health. There she was responsible for coordinating and managing regional health care, serving in an on-call capacity and directing LPNs and CNAs in patient care initiatives. She also held the position of registered nurse for Iberia Medical Center where she provided total patient care and served as charge nurse for the medical-surgical floor.
Mrs. Broussard is board certified in cardiovascular nursing in acute and non-acute care. She is a member of the Louisiana State Nurses Association (LSNA) and the Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society.
