Lisa L. Freyou
Nurse Practitioner
Lisa Freyou, MSN, ACNP-BC, BC-CVN II, serves as a nurse practitioner for Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) in New Iberia and brings more than 20 years of experience to the institute.
Ms. Freyou received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Southwestern Louisiana and her Master's Degree from the University of South Alabama. She is board certified as an acute care nurse practitioner and holds a board certification in cardiovascular nursing in acute and non-acute care, levels one and two. Additionally, Ms. Freyou remains current in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and basic life support (BLS).
Prior to joining CIS, Ms. Freyou was employed by Iberia Medical Center as an intensive care unit staff registered nurse, emergency room staff registered nurse and post anesthesia care unit manager.
Ms. Freyou is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, American College of Cardiovascular Nursing (ACCN), Louisiana Advanced Practice Nurses, Cambridge Who's Who and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
