William R. Ladd, MD Cardiologist
Dr. William Ladd is originally from Midland, Texas, and has been in Louisiana since 1971. He received a B.S. in Biology with honors from Tulane University in 1975, and graduated from Tulane Medical School, Alpha Omega Alpha, in 1979. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine and fellowship in cardiology at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans.
Dr. Ladd came to Houma, Louisiana, to join Dr. Craig Walker as his first partner in 1984. He has been an important part of the development of Cardiovascular Institute of the South from a small community practice, to a multi-centered, state-of-the-art group, engaged in research while maintaining community involvement at each site.
Dr. Ladd practices cardiology at the Houma office. He has a special interest and expertise in nuclear cardiology. Dr. Ladd has served as the chairman of the department of cardiology at Terrebonne General Medical Center for several years, and is involved in the interventional training program.
Dr. Ladd is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and nuclear cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
