Dr. Raghotham Patlola received his undergraduate degree and medical education from B.L.D.E. Association's Medical College Hospital and Research Center, Karnatak University in his native India. His postgraduate training included an internal medicine internship and residency at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn and cardiology fellowship through the Beth-Israel Medical Center at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, New York.

Dr. Patlola continued his interventional cardiology training at Maimonides Medical Center, State University of New York in Brooklyn.

After completing his fellowship, Dr. Patlola joined Cardiovascular Institute of the South to serve as a staff cardiologist for the institution's New Iberia clinic. In 2006, he began seeing patients in the CIS Lafayette clinic.

Dr. Patlola is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology and endovascular medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the American Medical Association. He has hospital privileges at Dauterive Hospital, Iberia Medical Center, Regional Medical Center of Acadiana, Women's and Children's Hospital in Lafayette, Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center, Terrebonne General Medical Center and Lafayette General Medical Center. Dr. Patlola is a well-published author in numerous articles and he is involved in several clinical and interventional device based trials as the primary or subinvestigator.
