Tommy L. Fudge, MD
Cardiovascular/Thoracic Surgeon
 Dr. Tommy Fudge, a native of Nashville, Tennessee, received his undergraduate degree from Tennessee Technological University and his medical training at the University of Tennessee, Center for Health Services in Memphis. He completed general surgery, cardiovascular and thoracic surgery fellowships at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans.
Before joining CIS, Dr. Fudge was in practice in Memphis, where he was instrumental in establishing a heart transplantation program. He joined the CIS medical staff as chief of cardiovascular surgery and is responsible for expanding the open-heart surgery program at Terrebonne General Medical Center in Houma.
For many years, he has been involved in clinical research, including being chosen as a clinical investigator to study Transmyocardial Revascularization (TMR).
Dr. Fudge is board certified in general and thoracic surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American College of Chest Physicians, the American College of Cardiology and the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
He is the author of more than 40 abstracts, presentations and publications and has served as an investigator in a number of clinical studies. Dr. Fudge is renowned in his field of surgical expertise.
