V. Antoine Keller, MD
Cardiovascular/Thoracic Surgeon

Dr. Antoine Keller, a native of New Orleans, attended University of California in Los Angeles, and Duke University School of Medicine, Durham, North Carolina.

He completed his general surgery internship, residency and research fellowship at Tulane School of Medicine, New Orleans, where he also served as Chief Resident.  Dr. Keller then completed a thoracic and cardiovascular surgery residency at Carolinas Heart Institute, Charlotte, North Carolina.

Dr. Keller is also board certified in general surgery.  He is author/co-author of more than 40 publications, presentations and abstracts, and has completed countless experimental and clinical studies.

Dr. Keller has received scores of prestigious awards including Outstanding Surgery Resident of the Year from Touro Hospital, International Society for Hypertension in Black Fellowship Award, School of Medicine Owl Club Award for Excellence in Teaching, Robicsek Traveling Fellowship - Lahr, Germany, and numerous others.  

He is a member of several highly respected professional societies relating to his specialty. Dr. Keller joined the surgical staff of Cardiovascular Institute of the South/Lafayette in February 2002 and joined Cardiovascular Institute of the South/Houma in January 2008. His hospital privileges are at Terrebonne General Medical Center (TGMC) and Thibodaux Regional Medical Center (TRMC).
