Mr. Baskett earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama in Mobile in 1997, where he received the Excellence in Practice Award and later a Master of Science in Nursing in 2001. In 2000, he achieved a Master of Science in Nursing as a Primary Care Family Nurse Practitioner from University of South Alabama in Mobile.

Prior to joining CIS, Mr. Baskett worked with an internal medicine practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner. He has worked as a registered nurse with Bay Medical Center, in Panama City, Florida, and North Okaloosa Medical Center in Crestview, Florida.

Mr. Baskett is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. He is also certified in ACLS.
