Gene F. Bergeron
Nurse Practitioner
 Mr. Gene Bergeron, a native of Houma, Louisiana, received his Bachelor of Science (BSN) in Nursing at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Mr. Bergeron then completed the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of South Alabama in Mobile where he received a Master of Science in Nursing.
Mr. Bergeron has worked in the healthcare setting for many years. Before joining CIS, he was a nurse at Terrebonne General Medical Center, Houma, Louisiana, in the Emergency Room and Critical Care Unit where he was awarded Employee of the Quarter in 2000 and Nursing Care of South Louisiana and Hospice in Larose, Louisiana. Mr. Bergeron also served as a nursing supervisor in the Skilled Nursing Unit at Lakewood Medical Center in Morgan City, Louisiana. He then practiced at Bayou Pediatrics and Associates in Houma as a Nurse Practitioner.
At the University of South Alabama, Mr. Bergeron was elected to the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society for Nurses. He was also elected as the Senior Class Representative for the Nicholls State Association of Student Nurses.
Mr. Bergeron is licensed in the state of Louisiana as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) and certified as a family nurse practitioner (FNP).
