 Gene Bergeron
Nurse Practitioner
Gene Bergeron, RN, MSN, CFNP, CS, is a nurse practitioner for Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS). A native of Houma, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Nicholls State University in 1995. He later attended the University of South Alabama, where he obtained a Masters of Science in Nursing and graduated from the Family Nurse Practitioner Program in 2001.
Mr. Bergeron is licensed as a registered nurse and an advanced practice registered nurse. He is certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and he is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society.
Prior to joining the CIS team, Mr. Bergeron served as a nurse practitioner for Bayou Pediatrics and Associates in Houma. He also worked as an emergency room staff nurse at Terrebonne General Medical Center.
