 Joey Bonin
Nurse Practitioner
Mr. Otto "Joey" Bonin, Jr. is a native of New Iberia, Louisiana. He graduated from the University of South Alabama, College of Nursing in December 2003, where he received a masters in science in nursing. Mr. Bonin holds dual board certifications as an adult nurse practitioner and acute care nurse practitioner. While attending the University of South Alabama, Mr. Bonin received the Excellence in Practice award in the adult/adult acute care nurse practitioner specialty as well as was inducted into the prestigious Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society for Nurses.
Mr. Bonin received his undergraduate education from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette, where he earned a bachelor of science in nursing.
Board certified in cardiovascular nursing (level II), Mr. Bonin is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiovascular Nursing and is a member of the American College of Cardiovascular Nursing, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American College of Nurse Practitioners.
Mr. Bonin began his professional career as a registered nurse in the CIS New Iberia clinic in January 1997. He now serves as an acute care nurse practitioner in the CIS Zachary clinic.
