Charles L. Kock
Physician Assistant
 Mr. Kock received his undergraduate and masters degrees from Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky, where he also served as a teaching assistant. He attended the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine in the urologic physician assistant program.
Following his internship at Veterans Administration Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, Mr. Kock worked as a urology physician assistant for M.A. Glucksman, M.D., in Brunswick, Georgia. He went into private practice, working at V.A. Hospital in South Dakota as a urology physician’s assistant. Mr. Kock then worked for the University of Michigan, Department of Thoracic Surgery, where he received his cardiothoracic and vascular training before he joined Cardiovascular Institute of the South.
Mr. Kock is a certified physician assistant and holds hospital privileges at Terrebonne General Medical Center in Houma, Columbia Medical Center of Southwest Louisiana in Lafayette, Doctors’ Hospital of Opelousas and Thibodaux Regional Medical Center and Health Centers in Thibodaux.
He has an award as the South Central Regional Representative for the APACVS and a Special Achievement in Surgery Section of NCCPA Certifying Exam. Mr. Kock is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Association of Physician Assistants in Cardiovascular Surgery. He is also a member of the Louisiana Academy of Physician Assistants.
Mr. Kock is co-author of two publications for the Society of University Surgeons. He has also written editorials for the PA Surgical Journal.
