James B. Lam, MD
Cardiologist
 Dr. James Lam, a Hong Kong native, graduated Summa Cum Laude in engineering from the University of Pennsylvania before earning his medical degree with honors at Jefferson Medical College. Following a residency in internal medicine at Lankenau Hospital in Philadelphia, he completed a three-year cardiology fellowship at Mayo Clinic.
In 1985, Dr. Lam moved to Louisiana, joining a 12-member cardiology and cardiovascular surgery group practicing at West Jefferson Hospital.
He moved to Morgan City in 1990 where he was in private practice prior to joining the CIS Morgan City staff in 1994.
Dr. Lam is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honorary Society. He is the author/co-author of a number of articles and abstracts in his specialty.
