Nurse Practitioner
Amber Lewis is a nurse practitioner at Cardiovascular Institute of the South in Luling. She began her nursing education at the Baton Rouge General School of Nursing, where she earned her diploma in nursing. She then earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond.
Prior to joining CIS, Lewis served as a staff registered nurse in the intensive care unit at St. Charles Parish Hospital in Luling. She also worked at River Parishes Hospital in Laplace and East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairie in the intensive care units and hematology/oncology unit. Additionally, she served as a part of the palliative/supportive care team at East Jefferson General Hospital.
Lewis is board certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is a member of the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners.
