DESCRIPTION:Heart disease is the number one killer of women each year. Yet\, many women do not understand their risk or realize how heart disease looks and feels different in women. \nCardiovascular Institute of the South understands the importance of awareness\, prevention and education for women and heart disease. That’s why we are proud to host our Women\, Wine\, and Wellness Event and Screening on Thursday\, February 6 at 5:00 pm at our Thibodaux clinic location. \nThis FREE event will include the following:\nFree blood pressure and EKG screenings followed by a presentation and an open Q&A and conversation about Heart Health by Dr. McCall Walker. \nOptional: Want know your 10 year/lifetime risk of heart attack or stroke? Bring your recent lipid panel and get advice on reducing your risk. \nThis event will also include light Hors d’oeuvres and wine. \nRegistration is required\, please reserve your spot by calling (985) 873-5058.
