DESCRIPTION:Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) and Terrebonne General Health System is hosting a free health screening on Saturday\, September 7th from 8:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at 225 Dunn Street in Houma. This event will include: \n\nElectrocardiograms (EKGs)\n\n\nCholesterol Checks – For accurate results\, please fast the morning of the screening. Refreshments will be provided afterward.\n\n\nT hermal Imaging Screenings – Please plan to wear shorts\, pants\, a dress\, or a skirt that can be pulled above the knee for this screening.\n\n\nHeight\, Weight\, and BMI Calculations via the InBody 230 Scale\n\n\nProvider Consults by CIS Interventional Cardiologist\, Dr. Matthew Finn & Dr. McCall Walker\n\n\nGiveaways\, refreshments\, and more!\n\nEKGs check the electrical signals of the heart and can detect blockages and more. An EKG is recommended for those with risk factors or symptoms of heart disease. \nThermal imaging screening which uses new technology that can detect venous insufficiency. \nRisk factors of cardiovascular disease include family history\, high cholesterol\, high blood pressure and diabetes\, as well as smoking\, being overweight or being inactive. \nRegistration is required.
