Frederick has practiced as an APRN for 18 years, most recently serving as a primary provider making medical house calls for patients with acute and chronic diseases. She has additional experience managing the geriatric population as a primary provider for a nursing home system. She worked with the Lafayette General Hospitalist group to manage acutely-ill hospitalized patients, and previously spent 10 years working as the APRN of a busy cardiology practice.

Frederick has been in healthcare for 40 years, working in a variety of capacities as a registered nurse. She also has a passion for education and worked for several years as a Critical Care Educator in a hospital setting. She brought that enthusiasm to the formal classroom where she taught nursing at Louisiana State University at Eunice and University of Louisiana at Lafayette. While she possesses tremendous knowledge and experience, her greatest gift is her ability to connect with her patients and advocate for their overall well-being.
