Dr. Michael McElderry is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He received his undergraduate degree at Louisiana State University (LSU) and his medical degree at LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, where he also conducted his internship and residency, serving as clinical chief resident.
He completed his residency in cardiology and a fourth-year-fellowship in interventional cardiology at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, serving as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology.
Dr. McElderry is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, and nuclear cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Angiology and has authored several publications in his specialty.
He is the medical director of the CIS Lafayette clinic where he currently practices cardiology.
