Interventional Cardiologist
Dr. Ryan Chauffe joined Cardiovascular Institute of the South in 2015 as an interventional cardiologist.
Dr. Chauffe received his doctorate of osteopathic medicine from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He completed fellowships in cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology at the University of Florida. He also completed an internal medicine residency at Pennsylvania Hospital and a general surgery internship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
A native of Breaux Bridge, Dr. Chauffe has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and is also a graduate of Teurlings Catholic High School. He previously worked as a hyperbaric/wound care technician and an emergency department technician at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Dr. Chauffe has board certifications in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine, and interventional cardiology. He has received designation as a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions. Additionally, he is a member of the American Heart Association and the Sigma Sigma Phi Honor Society. He has also received many accolades including the Gatorade Research Travel Award and the Resident Research Award.
