LAFAYETTE—On April 1, Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) and Lafayette General Health (LGH) will celebrate a five-year partnership that has offered advanced, high-quality cardiovascular diagnostics and treatment to our community. This world-class collaboration has brought forth four CIS clinics in Lafayette, Crowley, and Breaux Bridge and at University Hospital & Clinics.
During the past five years, CIS and LGH have jointly hosted multiple free screening events providing free electrocardiogram (EKG) screenings to the community. Still offered throughout this year, and also in held in conjunction with the American Heart Association, these events promote cardiovascular disease awareness to help our community members understand their cardiovascular risk.
CIS in-clinic services include same-day consults, surgery clearance, stress tests, echocardiograms, vascular lab, ultrasounds, and assessments. Hospital services include catheterizations, angiograms, angioplasties, and a variety of interventional procedures.
