Through leading-edge technology, state-of-the-art cath labs, and excellent hospital relationships, this fellowship offers you everything you need as a PVD fellow. Advanced comprehensive hands-on PAD interventional training Work primarily with world-renowned interventional cardiologist, Dr. Craig Walker, and alongside other CIS expert physicians Focused and dedicated training in coronary and peripheral procedures High volume ~400 procedures per fellow Complex referrals from other physicians around the world Clinic time required for PVD patient evaluation and diagnosis Occasional Hospital rounds/consults Opportunity to work with other CIS experienced physicians and perform additional complex procedures such as EVAR and carotid stenting Work at physician owned ASC/OBL with dedicated hand selected clinical staff Full time invasive ultrasound technologists Ultrasound guided access allows physician to access difficult arteries and veins CRNA on site Chronic Limb Ischemia Chronic Total Occlusion (Peripheral) Superficial Venous Therapies – RFA, Laser, Varithena Venograms to identify Venous Thrombectomy, May Thurner, Central Venous Compression IVUS Atherectomy – Laser, Orbital, and Directional Diagnostic Carotid Angiograms (Carotid Stent performed at hospital) Pedal loop reconstruction Alternate access pedal, axillary, brachial, antegrade aortic occlusion, aortic bi iliac reconstruction, vena caval bi iliac reconstruction Single vessel PCI First to use new technology, devices, wires, etc Exposure and access to industry for further and future education, networking and job opportunities Access to non-stock items when needed Participate in clinical research trials Fellowship Requirements Location Program Length Compensation Start Date Professional Liability Insurance Housing & Travel Fellowship Requirements Program intended for Interventional Cardiologists Louisiana Medical License or ability to obtain Board Certification in Cardiology and/or Interventional Cardiology U.S. Citizens, Green Card Location Our fellows work on-site at the Cardiovascular Institute of the South Ambulatory Surgery Center in Gray, Louisiana. Program Length This PVD fellowship is for 12 months, or one year. Compensation Compensation for this fellowship is $100,000 annually + CIS employee benefits. Start Date Start dates are flexible depending on Louisiana license and hospital privileges. Professional Liability Insurance Professional liability insurance is provided by CIS.
