Eighth grade students in Lafayette are learning how to save lives. CIS recently provided free bystander CPR training to students at Sts. Leo-Seton Catholic School and St. Genevieve Middle School. Students were taught life-saving techniques, including how to dial 911 and stay calm and how to use an automatic external defibrillator, or #AED.
"CPR skills are very critical for this aged student, as they are very involved with athletics, babysitting and many activities," stated community liaison at CIS, Carol Battaglia.
