Venous disease may produce no bothersome symptoms at all, especially in early stages. However, as the condition worsens, symptoms may progress.


These may include:

  • Swelling or heaviness in legs
  • Leg pain – Aching, cramping, burning or throbbing, especially after prolonged periods of sitting
  • Visible varicose or spider veins, usually bluish or purplish in color
