Echocardiogram
An echocardiogram is a simple ultrasound study that provides images of the heart, helping to determine its structure and functioning capacity.

Arterial Ultrasound
An arterial Ultrasound assesses the blood flow in the arteries of the legs or arms. It will detect any blockages or narrowing that may restrict blood flow in the legs or arms.

Venous Ultrasound
A venous ultrasound assesses the blood flow in the veins of the legs or arms. It detects abnormalities such as blood clots and evaluates the condition of the vein valves and varicose veins.

Carotid Artery Ultrasound
A carotid artery ultrasound assesses the condition of the arteries in your neck, which supply blood to the brain.  It will detect any blockages or narrowing that may increase the risk of stroke.

Renal Artery Ultrasound
The renal artery ultrasound evaluates the amount of blockage (if any) in the renal arteries and kidneys. The renal arteries distribute blood to the kidneys. The renal artery may narrow and cause kidney failure or high blood pressure.

Ankle Brachial Index (ABI)
An ankle brachial index is a simple, painless exam used to test the blood flow in the legs and help determine the risk of vascular disease.

Thermal Imaging Scan
A thermal imaging scan is an advanced imaging technology that uses heat patterns to help detect venous insufficiency in the legs.

CT / CT Angiogram

CT Scans
Computed tomography (CT) imaging is a non-invasive diagnostic method of body imaging that uses x-rays and leading-edge technology to create detailed pictures of structures inside the body.

CT Angiogram
A CT angiogram is a type of computed tomography (CT) that creates detailed images of the blood vessels and surrounding structures. This exam is performed in our office by inserting an IV into the arm to inject contrast dye, which enhances the visibility of blood vessels and allows the CT scanner to capture detailed x-ray images. This less-invasive alternative can be used instead of traditional testing that requires the insertion of a catheter to inject dye into the body. CT angiograms can evaluate blood flow, detect narrowing or blockages, and measure the size of arteries. We perform CT angiograms on several parts of the body, including the heart, neck, head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and lower legs, to help detect vascular disease and monitor the condition of stents or grafts that are already in place.

Coronary Artery Calcium Scoring (CACS)
Calcification in the coronary arteries is the earliest indicator of heart disease. CACS uses non-invasive, highspeed computerized tomography (CT) to scan the heart and detect calcium deposits along the walls of arteries. The test then produces a calcium score that identifies your level of deposits. Taking into account other factors such as age, family history and cholesterol level, your doctor uses that score to measure your potential for heart disease.

Nuclear Stress Test

PET/CT
A Cardiac Positron Emission Tomography (PET) exam helps your doctor check the health of your heart by measuring how well blood flows through the coronary arteries to the heart muscle. During the test, an IV will be placed in your arm to inject a small amount of radioactive tracer and a stress agent, which make the images possible.

This advanced imaging test provides a clear, detailed view of your heart. It combines two powerful tools: one that shows how well your heart muscle is working and another that provides precise images of your heart’s structure.

For decades, doctors have safely and accurately used cardiac PET scans to detect coronary artery disease in people with symptoms or risk factors. The results can also show if follow-up care or treatment is needed. If you are already being treated for a heart condition, your doctor can use the results to guide and manage your treatment plan.

SPECT Nuclear Perfusion
The myocardial, or “nuclear,” perfusion study is a test that checks blood flow to the muscles or walls of your heart. It consists of three parts. First, a small amount of radioactive tracer is given through an IV, and images of your heart are taken while you are at rest. Second, you will either walk on a treadmill or, if you are unable to exercise, a stress agent will be given to mimic the effects of exercise on your heart. During the third part of the study, additional images of your heart are taken after the exercise phase is completed.

Exercise Treadmill Test (ETT)
We use the treadmill as an exercise test to evaluate your heart function as well as how your heart’s rhythm,  pulse, and blood pressure respond to physical activity.

Monitors

Holter Monitor
The Holter monitor records electrical signals of the heart just like an EKG, but it does so over a period anywhere from 24 hours to 7 days. This test will monitor your heart rhythm as you perform regular daily activities to see how your heart responds to changes in activity, rest and medication.

Mobile Cardiac Telemetry (MCT)
An MCT monitor is a small device with electrodes placed on the chest that records your heart’s rhythm. Unlike a Holter, the results are monitored 24/7 in real time and sent directly to a monitoring center, so your doctor can be alerted right away if something abnormal is detected. This monitor can be worn anywhere from 7-30 days.

Sleep Studies

We offer at-home sleep apnea studies using an easy-to-wear disposable watch.

The watch has a small finger probe (worn on any finger except the thumb) and a chest sensor. While you sleep, it records your breathing, oxygen levels, heart rate, snoring, and body position through an app on your smart device. After the study, the results are submitted to your doctor and a sleep apnea specialist, who reviews them and discusses the next steps with you.
