LAFAYETTE- Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its clinics on Heymann Boulevard in Lafayette and Wright Avenue in Crowley.

Both of these clinics opened on April 1, 2011, when CIS began a partnership with Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center. CIS has provided cardiovascular care to the Acadiana region for the past 30 years and currently has a total of nine locations in the region.

“These 10 years have brought so much growth, for our clinics and for this community,” said Dr. Wade May, who has practiced at CIS since 2009 and been in this area from the beginning. “The care that we’ve been able to provide just keeps getting better.”

CIS interventional cardiologist Dr. Ankur Lodha joined the practice in 2015. “CIS has brought many new cutting-edge technologies to the community of Lafayette, offering the most advanced care for the best outcomes for our patients,” he said.
