This year, Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS), Terrebonne General Health System (Terrebonne General), and The Foundation for Terrebonne General Health System are hosting a Free Community Screening on Saturday, August 29, from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at CIS in Houma, located at 225 Dunn Street. The screening is designed to screen your entire cardiovascular system, from your heart to the arteries and veins in your legs, with provider consultations from Dr. Matthew Finn, interventional cardiologist and vascular specialist at CIS in Houma and Raceland, and Murray Morella, Nurse Practitioner.
The screening will include thermal imaging screenings, which use advanced imaging technology and heat patterns to help detect venous insufficiency in the legs, and ankle-brachial index screenings, which measure blood flow in the legs and help determine the risk of vascular disease. It will also include electrocardiograms (EKGs), a painless test that records the electrical signals of the heart. Additional screenings include blood pressure checks and height, weight, and BMI checks.
Don’t miss this opportunity to see one of our specialists and take charge of your health.
Registration is free but required. Please visit https://CISTGSummer26.eventbrite.com to reserve your spot or call (985) 873-5688.
