Interventional Cardiologist
Dr. Scott Joransen is an interventional cardiologist at Cardiovascular Institute of the South in Meridian.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in philosophy at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois, and his doctorate at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, where he also completed his internship, residency and cardiology fellowship.
Dr. Joransen has practiced cardiology in Meridian since 2003 and has also worked as a staff instructor in internal medicine at G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center. He has also spent time doing mission work in Papua, New Guinea.
Dr. Joransen is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and cardiac computed tomography. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology and the Mississippi State Medical Association.
