Arion Arvie is a nurse practitioner at Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) in Lafayette.
Arvie earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization as a Family Nurse Practitioner from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from McNeese. Her advanced practice training includes clinical rotations in adult and geriatric care at Lafayette General Internal Medicine, pediatric and adolescent care at the Crowley Child and Adolescent Clinic, and women’s health with Dr. Kim Tran at SWLA.
Prior to joining CIS, Arvie worked as a registered nurse in a variety of clinical settings. She most recently served as a Circulator at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center, where she led preoperative assessments and coordinated surgical readiness with multidisciplinary teams. She previously worked at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center, where she served as Circulator and Supervisor for high-complexity surgeries, and co-chaired the Professional Development Committee. In this role, Arvie led initiatives to enhance nursing skills, contributed to hospital-wide policy revisions, and planned and executed annual skills fairs to improve staff competence and patient care quality. Her early nursing career included roles in telemetry, the cardiac cath lab, and postoperative heart care at Regional Medical Center of Acadiana.
Arvie is licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing and holds certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association. She is currently pending certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
Arvie is a student member of the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Her clinical focus includes adult and geriatric care, cardiac and acute care, surgical and perioperative coordination, women’s health, and patient education.
