Interventional Cardiologist
Dr. Bharath Raj Kidambi is an interventional cardiologist at Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) in Jennings.
His clinical practice encompasses coronary, peripheral arterial, and venous disease, with advanced expertise in complex and high-risk coronary interventions.
Dr. Kidambi earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam (SSR) Medical College in Curepipe, Mauritius, and went on to complete his Internal Medicine Residency at Madras Medical College in Chennai, India.
He completed his cardiology training at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, India, where he later served as Chief Resident in the academic program. He then served as Assistant Professor of Cardiology in the Department of Cardiology for 3 years at SRM Institute of Science and Technology in Chennai, India. Dr. Kidambi practiced interventional cardiology in India and the United Arab Emirates for 2 years. He subsequently completed advanced fellowship training in Complex and High-Risk Interventional Procedures (CHIP) at Mount Sinai Health System in New York.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC). He is also a member of the European Society of Cardiology and the Heart Failure Society of America and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters in cardiovascular medicine.
Dr. Kidambi takes special interest in complex coronary intervention, peripheral arterial interventions, and the diagnosis and treatment of venous disease, as well as intravascular imaging, coronary physiology, and advanced techniques for heavily calcified coronary disease.
