Matt Landry is a nurse practitioner at CIS in Lafayette. He earned both his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Nursing at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. In 2019 he completed a Post Masters Certification in Acute Care Cardiovascular Medicine through the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
Landry is board certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. He is currently licensed as an advanced practice registered nurse and registered nurse. Additionally, he maintains professional memberships of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society.
He started his nursing career in 2005 in New Iberia, Louisiana, where he worked as a bedside nurse in the intensive care unit, emergency room and nursing supervisor. Upon graduating with a Master of Science in Nursing in 2011 he worked as an Adult Nurse Practitioner in New Iberia at Iberia Medical Center and Dauterive Hospital before transitioning into a career in cardiac disease and prevention.
In 2020, Landry was nominated for APRN of the Year through the Louisiana State Nurses Associated for his leadership skills and the high quality cardiovascular care that he provides for our patients on a daily basis. He currently functions as the Team Leader of the Lafayette Regions Nurse Practitioners. In 2020, Landry developed and internally publish a Nurse Practitioner Resource Binder for new and experienced cardiovascular providers.
